The Piedmont Metrolina Collegiate Umpires Association (PMCU) represents a significant milestone in the development of collegiate baseball umpiring within the Piedmont and Charlotte metropolitan areas.
Founded in 2012 by umpires Dave Brown and Gary Swanson, the association was established with the primary goal of providing legitimate opportunities for umpires in these regions to officiate college baseball games.
